ThisAfternoon!

Hola chicas & chicos!

I am SO bummed out. The CUTEST Spanish guys from Unicef came to the house I was babysitting at today, and we spoke Spanish together :] but they needed to speak to the owner of the house so I said she'd be back at 5. I wish wish WISH I had gotten their number! So cute. We were talking in Spanish about our age (same!) and how long I learned it for... you know. Playful banter. Lots of laughs and smiles all around. Silly me! Color me regretful.

It was actually quite hot today, surprizingly, considering it's fall. Our fruit bowl is going to the dogs! Case in point, our bananas:

Anyways, I also went to Huckleberry Farms (a shop that sells organic food, kinda like a small version of the US Wholefoods!) today and got some maple flavor agave nectar, some instant ramen noodles - mushroom flavor, a couple larabars and this NZ honey apricot bar. I was debating whether or not to get peanut butter puff cereal (low gluten and organic) but then I didn't, because they were like $9 for a box. Did I mention organic food here is muy expensive? Luna bars and larabars are $3.90 each! Screw that! Well, I got them anyway. Whatever.

I had a lecture today too, KEC (knowledge, enquiry and communications) but only stayed for 1hour instead of 3. Most people walk out, it's so boring. At the start of our semester there were like 200 people in our room, and now? More like 50maximum. Lame. I have a Human Anatomy & Physiology lecture tomorrow 2-5pm, which means a good hour and a half in rush hour traffic on the way home! Good thing I got some sweet tunes to sing along to on the way.
